All the Canadian girl personality types (Which One Are You?)

Whether you’re ducking rain puddles in Vancouver or slipping on ice in Halifax, there is a special energy that only a Canadian girl can pull off. We took a humorous look at Canadians from coast-to-coast to discover different types of Canadians girls. Although Canada is a big country, you’ll likely fit into one of these archetypes. Let us know in the comments how accurate these are and which one you are.

The West Coast Wellness Warrior

She lives for hiking trails and drinking green juice afterward. Whether she’s in Vancouver or Victoria, you’ll likely spot her wearing Lululemon leggings and a trusty puffer vest.

She finds hiking up a mountain “relaxing” and might even have her own favorite spot for an ice-cold plunge. Her hair always looks effortlessly windswept, and she definitely owns an over-priced reusable water bottle.

She smells like eucalyptus and spends her weekends trying to find the best oat milk latte in town.

The Timmies Traditionalist

She doesn’t let a little snow stop her. While other girls are cursing the wind in their cars, she’s cheerfully scraping ice off her windshield.

She wears a comfortable University hoodie, some warm mittens, and boots that actually work in snowbanks.

She doesn’t start her day until after she’s had her double-double at Tim Hortons. She’s super chill, loyal to her roots, and would wear a “light jacket” during a blizzard.

The Toronto Main Character

She walks down the sidewalk like she’s on a catwalk. Often spotted in the West End of Toronto, you’ll recognize her by her shiny Aritzia SuperPuff and oversized gold hoop earrings.

She’s constantly running errands, chatting on her phone, and knows the newest brunch spot way before it trends on Instagram.

Sure, she’ll complain about rent prices and slow streetcars, but she loves Toronto so much she’ll never leave.

The Cabin Core Creative

This girl is all about cozy vibes. Whether she grew up in the Maritimes or lives in a small town in Ontario to escape the city, she knows how to make any place feel like a home.

She’ll probably bake her own bread and have an awesome vinyl record collection. Drop her at a cottage with a terrible Wi-Fi signal and a pint of local cider, and she’s happy.

The Montreal Sophisticate

There’s just something about her style that can’t be bought. She wears all black, a perfectly knotted scarf, and vintage jeans that look like they’re from another decade.

Bonus if she’s bilingual and switches between English and French without even thinking about it. She probably knows all the cute cafes in Le Plateau or has a folk music album on Spotify.

She is smart, mysterious, and will make sure you know Montreal bagels are the superior bagel.

The Après-Ski Socialite

She doesn’t really care about skiing or snowboarding; the mountain is her social scene. She’ll ski or ride for an hour, then head down to the lodge for cocktails and live music.

She’ll wear expensive-looking thermals and a fuzzy headband that never gets oily. She loves to party and isn’t above enjoying a spiked hot chocolate by the fire.

The Prairie Powerhouse

She’s what you’d call a “can-do” kind of girl. Living in Calgary, Regina, or Winnipeg has taught her how to thrive in large open spaces and outlast crazy massive storms.

She has a very practical personality and knows how to change a tire in the middle of a snowdrift. She’ll wear a perfectly faded-out denim jacket with sturdy leather boots and a baseball cap to match.

Don’t let her rugged look fool you, she will be the first to jump and help when someone’s car gets stuck in the snow and hates when you complain about the wind.

The Northern Light

Bold and adventurous, this girl is from the territories or far-north of provinces like Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland. She lives so far north you can probably see the aurora borealis from her front lawn.

Winter is something she doesn’t “hate” to experience like the weaker Canadians. Fluffy boots, heavy-duty North Face coats, and gorgeous handmade mukluks make up her winter wardrobe.

She is fiercely independent, loves a good bonfire, and knows all the best stargazing spots.
