Data entry specialist

You take information from one source and transcribes it into another set of spreadsheets, forms or company software. It could be survey results, product descriptions or order information. You don’t have to make phone calls or attend meetings.
E-commerce product lister

Online retailers use people to list new products in their shop software, including writing a basic title, adding photos, and completing item descriptions. You’re just taking care of the listings and making sure they look right on the site.
Spreadsheet auditor for small businesses

Companies sometimes bring in freelancers to sort out messy Excel files. Your job is to go through Excel files, tidy things up, fix formatting and catch any formula errors. You don’t have to take any calls with this kind of gig (they send you the file and you work in silence to fix it).
Caption writer for social media posts

As a caption writer, you’re creating a few lines of text to go with social media content that’s already been made. The client usually gives you the photos or videos, and you just write a few lines to match.
Remote file organizer

You clean up digital storage platforms by sorting files, renaming documents and creating folders so teams can stop wasting time hunting for things. You make sure their digital workspace isn’t a mess anymore. It’s quiet work, and nobody really likes it, except maybe you.
Proofreader for blogs or newsletters

If you have a way with words, this one is for you. Lots of websites need a second set of eyes before they’re ready to publish. That means tightening sentences, correcting small mistakes and making the writing flow better. And most of the work happens quietly over Google Docs or email, no meetings needed.
Pinterest pin designer

If you’re a whiz at Canva or know your way around basic graphic design tools, this could be a fun one for you. Brands want custom Pinterest pins. You know the ones: big, bold fonts, easy-to-read graphics, and overall, eye-catching. You’re designing them and sending files back, but you’re not managing accounts or social media pages.
Inventory tracker for online sellers

Online shops hire people to maintain the inventory for their products. You will look up quantities, update web pages and monitor out of stock products. It is a spreadsheet activity, not customer service. Normally you will be given access to the back end, and complete your updates without speaking to anyone.
Image tagger for stock photo libraries

You might be assigned a folder of images to tag with relevant descriptions such as “family picnic,” “sunset beach” or “city skyline,” for instance. This can be very relaxing work, as it is very repetitive and doesn’t require you to think too hard.
Transcriptionist (Non-phone work)

As a transcriptionist you will type what you hear in an audio file (recorded interviews, lectures, meetings, etc.). No speaking required, just you, headphones and keyboard.
