Vintage cars usually give a nostalgia fix, but not all classic designs have aged gracefully. Styles and trends that used to be fashionable or cutting-edge are now likely to look extreme, outdated, even ridiculous in the eyes of younger generations.
Here are 13 vintage cars that millennials typically don’t view as timeless or classic works of art.
AMC Pacer (1975-1980)

The AMC Pacer made history with its odd bubble-like appearance. Thanks to its enormous curved windows and bulging bodywork, it was an odd-looking beast that has only gotten weirder over time.
The Pacer is laughed upon by most millennials for being awkward and clumsy with its strange appearance.
Ford Pinto (1971-1980)

Ford Pinto started out as a small and inexpensive car, but looks have not helped it over time. Its plain, boxy design and small dimensions make the Pinto appear to be a cheap car with nothing that stands out.
Nothing about this car appeals to millennials, who also have a long memory of its safety issues.
Chevrolet Chevette (1976-1987)

Another economy car that millennials don’t care about is the Chevette. It looks very dull due to its small, simple design which does not seem unique in any form. It looks plain and boring.
Pontiac Aztek (2001-2005)

This car is not technically a classic, but the Pontiac Aztek is legendary for its ugly appearance. It’s a mess of clunky, mismatched design and awkward proportions.
Its weird front end and weird angles is just a confusing mess of bad ideas.
Yugo GV (1985-1992)

The Yugo GV is sometimes known as one of the worst cars you could have bought. It was cheap, less than a few thousand dollars, but the cardboard box shape and subcompact size of the Yugo do it no favors in terms of looks.
Typically, not many people would look twice at that car.
Ford Thunderbird (1980-82)

Ford took one look at the design of the Ford Thunderbird in the 1980s; Millennials say it should’ve taken several hundred more looks.
Rather than the snappy look of other cars at the time, this model was all squared-off and clumsy. Millennials find it huge, heavy and ugly.
Buick Reatta (1988-1991)

The millennials just don’t take into account Buick Reatta’s short and wide body that makes it look a tad squashed. The design of the car looks ill fitting and lacks character, making it feel uninspiring for younger buyers.
Cadillac Seville (1975-1985)

This era of the Cadillac Seville is usually deemed too formal and square. It isn’t nearly as handsome or elegant as 20th-century Cadillacs; a curse of the long, boxy form factor.
The sloped rear end especially, looks awkward and dated (& boring) to most millennials.
Chrysler LeBaron (Models from the 1980s)

The Chrysler LeBaron was a very simple square design. With its bulky & square design, the convertible version seems especially clumsy, almost reminding people of a hearse (funeral home cars).
Millennials view it as a pretender luxury car. With its boring appearance and overinflated proportions, they find it difficult to fall in love with this car.
Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (Early 1980s versions)

The 1980s Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was once a popular car, but its bulky and heavy body, combined with its relatively minimalistic design, comes off as a bit dated.
Nothing appealing for millennials, it looks so big and boring.
Dodge Diplomat (1977-1989)

Dodge Diplomat was a big, heavy car with as much generic blandness.
This car looks like a boring police vehicle from old movies. It is frankly not a very memorable design and hence millennials just tend to ignore it.
1980-83 Lincoln Continental Mark VI

Here is another car that appears too huge and lumbering for the modern age. It looks too stodgy and massive in a world where slimmer, more athletic cars are the piece de resistance. The spare tire cutout at the back is just ugly.
AMC Gremlin (1970-1978)

The AMC Gremlin is just as scary as a gremlin. It is perhaps most famous for how short its body was and the way in which the trimmer was lopped off at a 90-degree angle.
With its awkward proportions, especially the blunt rear end, it looks like a half-completed drawing.
