High-Intensity, Interval Training (HIIT)

These HIIT workouts target your whole body, targeting multiple areas simultaneously, and are used as a cardio torcher between strength sets. Although these workouts can burn many calories accurately and improve cardiovascular health, they warn against injury. Because HIIT is done at such a high intensity, it can also be easy to go too hard and put extra strain on the muscles and joints if you are not selective about what movements or workout style you are doing.

CrossFit

CrossFit has recently gained a decent amount of steam for its weightlifting and gymnastics combined with high-intensity cardiovascular exercises. However, the high-intensity nature of CrossFit can lead to severe injuries if participants have not been adequately trained or workouts haven’t been scaled to individual capacity. Crossfit being so competitive can often lead individuals to perform beyond their capabilities, putting them at risk for injury.

Bootcamp Classes

Bootcamp classes consist of vigorous interval training and military-style exercises like squats, lunges, lunges with a twist, burpees, etc. Although the credibility of such workout routines incorporates an enhancement of energy along with body situation, they can even result in overuse accidents due to their high volume of practice. Additionally, boot camp classes are usually taught without the proper form being flagged, and there is a risk of increasing injury.

Extreme Dieting

Extreme dieting involves cutting calories in an unhealthy and unforgiving pursuit of rapid weight loss. This eating often results in a lack of necessary nutrients, which can significantly negatively affect health. Also, extreme dieting is not something that you can usually keep up for any extended period and often leads to a cycle of yo-yo dieting, which generally makes you go raving mad!

In other words, waist trainers are extremely tight corset-like garments to be worn around the waist. Some believe they give the impression of a slimmer, hourglass shape. However, some of these gadgets harm us more than they benefit us. Wearing a waist trainer for long periods can interfere with breathing and digestion, which, if left unchecked, could result in digestive issues or organ damage.

Detox Teas

Some detox teas purport to rid the body of toxins, and some say they help with weight loss. The catch is that most detox teas contain laxatives or diuretics, which can cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. Many of these teas also involve very severe diets with extreme restrictions, which can be unhealthy and dangerous in the long run.
